New Way To Connect
Mayor Hopkins mentioned an intriguing new way for the neighborhood to connect in the latest city newsletter. It's called Nextdoor. It links neighbors with space to share services, babysitting, news on local crimes and more. Just head to https://nextdoor.com, enter your address and you'll be connected to neighbors living near you. It sounds like a great way to build community!

Winnifred Street Project
The resurfacing Winnifred Street continues, and is expected to be complete before the end of the year. The project includes new sidewalks and re-landscaping the median. Road bed soils will be replaced with stronger material that can handle the stress of modern traffic and asphalt will be to current codes. This should prevent any of the large pot holes that were common along this street.
You can view the full plan details via this link. And just to remind us of what used to be, here is a photo from the 1940's when Winnifred Street was still young.
