Once things get rolling on the Point Ruston development, we'll have a movie theater in addition to the Silver Cloud and restaurants. Several have already signed letters of intent. The News Tribune has more details here...

Interesting. I would put the theater on the old cooling pond site.It would not effect the views and could add a buffer (from the trains)to the waterfront. Put the parking behind the building out of site. Please, just get something going!
That would definitely impact views from Ruston & a parking lot- out of who's sight? It needs to be on the lowest part of the project. It's bad enough that the first condo (Copperline) will be 3 stories tall + parking garage.
I agree though that they need to get something going so we quit hearing they are broke!
They will need 50% of the site leased before the hotel commits, and 70% for the theater. Those are big numbers. It can be done.I agree that they should really consider where the movie complex is located.I want to see this happen-come on economy-pick up the pace!
Please enjoy your time listening and sharing your thoughts. Comments are encouraged and are monitored for civility and accuracy.
