If you are planning on making a few extra bucks this weekend parking cars in your yard, you'd better get to Town Hall tomorrow. Business licences are required for anyone charging for parking during the Taste of Tacoma.
In addition, you cannot allow cars to drive over the curb to access the yard since this causes damage. Homeowners will be responsible to pay for any repairs. The police will be enforcing these rules, so be prepared.
Let the weekend festivities begin!

If Ruston is going to try to require business licenses for car parking, shouldn't they also enforce a state business license to be consistent?
federal ID, state ID and the town business license! Gosh are they selling hot dogs or lemonade?... the health dept might want to know!
Have they marked off spaces for the cars? The dept. of transportation should over see that.
Needless to say someone that doesn't know much about business licensing opened a can of worms!

If the police are busy patrolling for YARD PARKERS who will enforce ILLEGAL FIREWORKS violations.
How many police officers does this require? Will they be on overtime or overkill?
Curious, how may business licenses issued, now many tickets given out and how many permits for the 4th issued out.
Also do we have new fireworks laws for 2010?
