What does this have to do with Ruston? This blog is called Ruston Home, not Tacoma or Pt Defiance Boathouse Home.
You keep saying that you want to concentrate on helping our town and being positive, etc., but this crime didn't happen in Ruston; it's estremely negative; people can read about it on their own in the TNT andwatch it on t.v. without your highlighting it.
Doesn't mean that you shuld hide the story. It's just misleading that you featured & posted something shocking with no explanation, just a link to the TNT. If someone doesn't go to the TNT link but just skims your post, he can easily wonder if someone local committed a crime. And we all know how scary and hurtful such a misleading possibility can be.
Thanks for the input. It is not my intent to mislead anyone. This event happened within a couple of blocks on our town and the suspect was not caught. Some neighbor might was to know this person is still out there. I also think its reasonable to highlight events from Point Defiance and have done so on numerous occasions. I don't see the need to change direction just because this event was negative. Thanks for the chance to explain myself.
Please enjoy your time listening and sharing your thoughts. Comments are encouraged and are monitored for civility and accuracy.
