Small Town Trouble

Another small town in western Washington is facing challenges. Vader is just a bit smaller than Ruston, but dealing with much larger issues. All things considered, our current group of elected officials is doing pretty well. The News Tribune has more here....

Did anyone read today's (4-20) TNT editorial about the Elks project downtown? That part was positive news, but it also listed the Copperline condos of Pt Ruston among Tacoma's failed or seriously delayed building projects.
Methinks it's going to be years away..

It would seem that the overall price points of these projects will need to re-set. I hope there is room in the profit to drop 20%.
We will keep our fingers crossed for a brighter future. Meanwhile. Lets get the new road put through.

Using the examples of other properties that have reset price points, the Copperline will need to allow for a greater than 20% price drop.
The other major problem is getting construction loan funds. Let's hope the builder can fund his own project or there will be a long wait, as the banks are turning down the majority of loan apps from builders.
The new road is a slam dunk as we taxpayers are funding that.
