Ruston's planning commission has recommended new landscape requirements for private homes that add 10% or more to their square footage and to properties within the commercial zone. A second public hearing will be held on Wednesday, November 17th at 7 pm. You can submit written comment prior to the hearing. The commission will hold a work session this Wednesday, November 10th (presumably at 7 pm) to discuss this issue along with the Shoreline Master Plan.

Endless paperwork and bureaucracy.
Keep beefing up your consulting and review fees Mr. Town Planner.
Just a bunch of busy-bodies that want to tell other people what they can and cannot do with THEIR property. Unreal.
At a time when we should be begging people to improve their properties and invest in our town, we're trying to ADD more paperwork to the already ridiculous permitting process? Are you guys serious?
Northcreek is slowing turning into another Huitt-Zollars. More paperwork = more fees.
