Fire On Shirley Street
Here are a few of the shots I took today as the house on Shirley Street was burned in a training exercise today. There were many spectators and lots of excitement as we watched the spectacular display of just how fast and furious a fire can be. Thanks to Bates Fire Training and our Ruston Fire Department for a job well done!

Saw this as I was driving from my dog walk. I was so worried it was the house I just rented burning away. I was so relieved when I remembered the blog that was posted here regarding this scheduled burn.
I can't wait to move here, it so reminds me of the little beach town I grew up in, before all the little CA beach towns disappeared.
