More Trouble At The Taste

It turned out to be another ambulance-laden evening at the Taste of Tacoma tonight. Ruston folks enjoying the usual people watching witnessed dozens of police cars rushing to the area as several large fights broke out along Pearl Street and within the Taste.

Early unofficial reports are that there were no serious injuries, but some of the fights involved well over 20 youth in each separate brawl. Police escorted everyone out of the park and had southbound lanes of Pearl Street shut down for a time.

It is time to move this event to Wrights Park or some other south end venue. 50% are family/normal peolpe wanting to enjoy the park and relax. The other 50% have no idea there is even a park and just want to cause troulbe. Not the kind of attention we need to bring to Point Definace Park and Zoo. The Park is the 2nd most visited attraction in the state-we need to keep it that way. No more of this non sence! If it can't be controled...do away with it!!!!!

Sorry.
enough is enough.

By all means. Send the ruffians to the South End where they'll be more comfortable, right? Please.

Wrights Park. Perfect! Lets take a look at the advantages.

1.Within walking distance for most.
2.Bus service from Roy Y and TCC. Added bonus-passes by Remann Hall.
3.Close to all major Hospitals.
4.One minute ride to jail.

I'm holding a couple of comments because of what I feel is uncivil language. Please resumbit your comments without the name-calling and I'm happy to post them.

Yeah, one of those "withheld" posts was probably mine. Highly ironic that it's okay for previous posters to infer that residents to the south are all hooligans (yet those stereotyping comments get posted) but my comments are withheld for pointing out what kind of people those type of generalized comments makes them. That's okay... go ahead believing that all "normal" people live north of 6th AVE; but please don't ever come to Central or South Tacoma, then, since we're much more accepting than that and don't want YOUR kind here. Thanks for posting this.

Not all of us think that way. Some never comprehend that we're all the same.
