Taste of Tacoma Weekend

Although many in town consider it a nuisance, a few of us actually enjoy the excitement, tasty food and live entertainment at our doorstep that the Taste of Tacoma brings each summer.  This year's event kicks off Friday with the usual food and music plus a few new features.
  • Rock The Bowl will feature obstacle course, zipline and other fun for the whole family.
  • Taste The Cooks will showcase local chefs with their own special booth.
  • Hope Heart Right Bite is a healthy choice offered at each food booth.
Along with the favorite Wine & Roses + Jazz, multiple stages, arts and crafts and food galore, it promises to be a fun weekend in Ruston!

Reach out to those Rustonites that have problems with the Taste of Tacoma. We need to start helping each other, with a "UNITED" Ruston? Is this on the list of the issues that keep us so far apart? The coming election will show the depth of the divide.

I live on N Highland, and noticed resident from other streets moving baracads placed by the town of Ruston
stating the road was closed and local access only. A women from 47th st. named Sue and her husband said they dont have to obey because the are residents. They parked anyways, I checked with the Chief and again it is only for the people of N. Highland where the baracades start and end. I asked them to leave but the argueed that they can because of who they are. Please respect your neighbors, and dont break the law by moving baracades and taking our parking. I called dispatch with name and license plate. So I hope next year Sue will respect their neighbors

Did the Ruston police help you?

No not at all. They never do. If they do not see car move baracades they wont do a thing. They should really watch more. Think of the money this town could bring in. Our neighbors watched as over 30 car blew thru the stop sign 53 and N Highland. A lot of the cars have gangsters that park past and thru . We really need to put that out in the next news letter for next year the street is not open to just anyone in Ruston it is only for N. Highland when baracade. Local only means local only. The upper part of Ruston must think they own the streets and do not obey the laws of of their own town. We need better patrol.

The Ruston City needs to explain their decision to < NOT ENFORCE > the barricades.
The "upper part of Ruston" X "lower part of Ruston"

The police need to explain why THEY didn't help the Ruston home owners on that street.
