Problems Found At Point Ruston

The News Tribune has an extensive article today outlining concerns about the propane gas system being used on the Tacoma side of the Point Ruston project. While Tacoma officials believe the system is safe, double the permitted gas was installed without inspection. State and federal officials, whose requirements are more strict, are also now working with the developer to ensure their standards are met. Read more details here...

Is it any wonder he prefers building in Tacoma?

Alerted regulators! Sounds like a stool pigeon to me.
Some time ago I alerted Ruston that they were not in compliance with ADA, Americans with Disabilities Act, at the Ruston School and Town hall. When brought up in a council meeting response was "Do you realize how much it would cost to redo these bathrooms?"
Turn about is fair play in my book. I am now alerting Justice Department regulators about my concerns with Ruston's lack of law abiding ADA standards.
So be it. What comes around goes around.

The list of problems for the Ruston side of Point Ruston only begin with the clean up and construction. After built, how do you convince businesses and residents to choose Ruston. "Sir would you like a condo here in Tacoma where you get full services for lower prices or could I interest you in the same condo 25 feet away with no internet options, higher sewer rates, higher power rates, no library services, part time police force, volunteer fire department, limited recycling services, and endless small-town frustration?"

no internet options

I remember when they applied a permit for CLICK/TACOMA and were told one of the insiders wanted CLICK in Ruston. So they would have to wire the entire Town or forget it.
This is the type of pinhead thinking POINT RUSTON is up against to develop this huge project.
