One of the lead stories in the Seattle Times today was about fines imposed against one of Point Ruston's contractors. You can read the full article here...

Plenty of liberal views from lots of liberal Seattle Times readers. How shocking! Prosecute, fine them, unionize, cause the developer to go broke, and destory whats left of America. You people seem to have all the answers.
This comment has been slightly edited.... full comment on Free Ruston. ______________________ Unions have to be the most corrupt, dirty organizations in our society today.
I love how the name of the Union boss is "Jimmy Haun". That's a perfect name....
A comment came in tonight expressing frustration that I would post notice of this type of article on the Ruston Home blog. The comment is available on Free Ruston...
You misunderstood the gist of my post, the one you just consigned to the burial ground of 'Free Ruston', which nobody reads except the people who administer and write it. The point was not that I expressed frustration with your printing the TNT piece. The point was that you are omitting real news (the hefty $36,000 fine for violations by Pt Ruston) in favor of fluff pieces about all the great and wonderful plans that Mike Cohen has for his project.
After reading what you did with my post, I don't have any faith that you will print this post. I do think you were very unfair in printing only what finds favor with your own point of view. Pt Ruston is too important a subject to indulge yourself and Mike Cohen.
Let's hear it for those liberal Seattle Times readers. If the developer goes broke there's a reason for it and it's not unions. All you have to do is remember the old mantra of the '90's Presidential campaign: 'It's the economy, stupid.' 'Course it also helps a developer to fail if he breaks the law.
Please enjoy your time listening and sharing your thoughts. Comments are encouraged and are monitored for civility and accuracy.

For those of you who hate unions, think again. There's a bumper sticker I saw on a car that speaks to the truth and spirit of people who organize:
UNIONS: THE FOLKS WHO BROUGHT YOU WEEKENDS.
