Treasures In The Neighborhood

Many local residents fondly recall one of Ruston's most vocal supporters, Connie Maglione. Although she and I were often on different sides of issues, her love for this town was without question. Connie lost her battle with cancer last September and leaves a big hole in the fabric of this community.

Connie was an eclectic collector of things and sold Partylite candles for years. Her husband Steve is now left with the monumental task of clearing out her things. He is holding garage sale this weekend in hopes of  clearing out some of the treasures, including lots of candles.

Stop by and go on your own treasure hunt - Friday thru Sunday, 9 am to 3 pm at 4925 N. Highland. And feel free to send me an email if you have a garage sale planned this summer. I'm happy to encourage neighbors to "shop local"!
