Your Input Needed

The Ruston-Point Defiance Business District put on the Ruston Family Fair last month. The committee that did the work is asking for feedback on how to improve the event for next year. If you attended, let us know what you liked and didn't like. If you didn't come down, let us know why and if you were even aware of the event.

You can post a comment here, or email me at Karen.Pickett.mba@gmail.com. Thanks for the input!

Hot food (corn on cob \ meat) Music (international)
Less presence of uniformed enforcement \ many is dispiriting

Thank you for your input! I am going to offer some explaination to your observations...

Hot Foods:
If our (RPDBD) venue grows beyond 400 - 600 attendees then food venders will be more inclined to pay the large Health Dept. Vender fees. It has to be cost effective for them to participate & I totally agree with you on the food aspect!

Music:
Live music costs money. Vender fees help defray those costs. It's a balancing act and we are working on it.

Uniformed Enforcement:
The Ruston-Point Defiance Business District enjoys bringing our uniformed Ruston Police and Fire Departments together because they are a huge important part of our community. They offer all sorts of safety demonstrations and challenges for every age group.

The Ruston Family Fair is sponsored by the Ruston-Point Defiance Business Ditrict ~ it brings our community together with fun family games and contests. We hope in turn the community supports their neighborhood businesses on both sides of Pearl Street!

Again Thank You for offering your comments on the event this year. We will strive to make it grow! :)

Observation: looked and seemed like
a police and fire department event,
not a Family Fun Fair.
