I found this blog entry on my Google news alert this morning (here), a motorcyclist warning others to be careful coming though Ruston. I don't mind the reputation as a "speed trap" - if the fear of a ticket keeps a few speeders out of town or moving slower when they approach Ruston all the better.
That's my soapbox for the morning. What do you think?

Sounds like they're talking about the other end; before I-705.
I see quite a few going faster than they should down Pearl. Some in the wee hours of the morning. Drivers are not being as careful as they should be. In too big of a hurry.

Ruston has been reputed to be a speed trap since JC was corporeal....nearly. The reality is a little less than that since they can't patrol all the streets all the time at once. If someone wants to help out the officers by posting it on a blog then good for us.
