Jane's Walk Results

On May 1st, some of the local business district members gathered for the area's first Jane's Walk. The goal of the walk is to get neighbors out of their cars, walking their neighborhoods to share stories, history and build connections. The business district folks took it a step further and used the opportunity to gage what the area looks like to potential customers.

They discovered several areas where improvements could be made, from removing garbage cans and debris from the curb promptly to trip hazards. They also saw many positive sights, such as a great refurbishing of an old, quaint church building into a wedding chapel.

Their findings are presented in Power Point. The first 2 slides are below. You can read the view the rest of the slides on Ruston Reports here...

Thanks, Karen you're such a techy! I do hope this begins a conversation with new ideas for sprucing up our front door.
