The Tribune has a report on the $20,000 bill Ruston owes to Tacoma for the SWAT team response late last year. It will be interesting to see how we swing this one amidst all the other bills and competing priorities for the Town's limited budget.

A source close to the former chief says "Typical, the mayor doesn't read the information given to him." Someone should read the council packets in December and see if there is a letter from the sheriff's office regarding service contracts.
And what would a contract with the County have cost us. Particulary when a "pre-existing condition" exists. Doesn't a reasonable and sensible person try to insure against these.
