Ruston's Official Comment Letter

There is much ado in Ruston's political circles about the Point Ruston development. All indications are that we need this development to survive, and quickly. We have heard from the Point Ruston team that the Town's official comment letter on the Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) was far from supportive. Here is the letter so you can judge for yourself ~

Would someone give Jane a job so she can get a life! Maybe she wants to rewrite the Bible while she's at it.

Any chance this is Carl's swan song? We can only hope so. At Huitt-Zollar's rates, my comments should net me a check from the town for a couple hundred bucks at the least.

Page 2 of 15:

Points out that the SEPA, DSEIS, MDP, CIA, FBI, TSA and Ruston Ordinance 1002 are inconsistent, one to the other. C'mon councilmembers, you are reputed to have been on top of all this since Christ was corporeal. Get cracking on it.

Page 14 of 15:

As written: Fig 11 of the DSEIS, the Bike lanes are not shown on North 51st Street on both sides of the street; two 5' bike lanes are required on each side of North 51st Street.

Should read: Fig 11 of the DSEIS, the Bike lanes are not shown on North 51st Street on both sides of the street; two 5' bike lanes are required, one on each side of North 51st Street.

Danger! Opinion coming...

Paragraph 6: Four way stop at 51st and Winnifred. Removing the four way stop would result in worse traffic congestion. A bulbout at this intersection is not an option that is consistent with the actual space available.

Is the Attorney General in Washington State interested at all in the outrages charges by Huitt-Zollars to respond to the Point Ruston Developement with their lack of previous involvement?

Or is it the lack of leadership in the Town of Ruston that is costing us these outrages fees to bring new people up to speed.

1. Does Huitt-Zollar's fees compare to any other town, city or municipality in Washington State?
2. Is there some history to their billing system?
3. Do we need to continue to spend "more money" to see if we are being screwed?

Maybe the BBB should be notified about Huitt-Zollar's business practices along with lodging an official complaint with the Attorney General to take a look at the atrocities going on in Ruston.

Just a few questions to start with....and throw more attorney dollars at...??

Or possibly we, as a communty, demand a "study session round table discussion" with the principle parties and observe them as they hash out a solution without the "FN" attorneys present???
How to save money 101!!!
Just a suggestion.
