The following people have applied for the council vacancy created by Bob Everding's resignation as of 4:55 pm Friday:
- Jane Hunt, loosing bidder on condo project and Ruston Connection campaign manager
- Mark Peterson, newer resident
- Virginia Carpio, co-editor of Ruston Connection newsletter
- Bill Walker, Virginia's husband
- Karen Pickett, administrator of this blog
I've submitted an information request to Town Hall and will ask each applicant for copies of the application letters and resumes. They will be posted as soon as possible.
UPDATE: Here is a copy of the email I sent to Jane, Virginia and Bill. I don’t have Mark’s email. If you happen to read this, Mark, please email your information to kpickett22@yahoo.com.

My vote is for Crazy Bill. He would add a lot more color to the already wacky council.
Yeah, Bill would be a good idea, then Wayne wouldn't have to look for him in the audience to see if he was voting the right way.
Jane would be more obviously in charge on the council but she would have to watch her back with Brad having the fashion slot filled.
I suggest we turn off the lights in the council meetings since that is the way they operate best.

Well, well. It appears that the Ruston Council will have yet another opportunity to demonstrate its intellectual and moral bankruptcy.
You may recall that Dan Albertson was appointed to the council, without discussion, on December 3rd. At that time, it was noted that Mr. Albertson was a losing candidate for council but had more votes than any other unsuccessful candidate.
Now comes Karen. She too was an unsuccessful council candidate and she is the only candidate of the most recent election to apply for the current vacancy.
Do you think that her name will even be considered by the council? Do you think Mr. Albertson would even have the decency to afford her the same benefit of which he was a recipient?
Based on their history, I can assure you that the council already has decided on their next choice for puppet.
It looks like the RECALL lawyers will be busy for quite a while.
I think this means we should all send our congrats to NEW COUNCIL

Whats with this Crazy Bill guy? I have seen him called that a few times and im wondering if the guy is really nuts or if hes just a dick. Oh congrats to Jane I'm sure pulling the strings of your puppets will be easier from your leather chair and the fancy name plate. Sit between Brad & Wayne so when he starts whining you can hold his hand and tell him everythings going to be ok and when Brad wants to leave and go to his dinner you can give him a lollipop and try to pacify his hunger pains.

Crazy Bill is just a bored interloper. who transports all
info to the RC and has lost his council power when Everding quit. I guess he still has Wayne but that provides no power and now he needs Virginia on council.
Sorry Crazy Bill, you know Bradly has no need for you any londer. Bradly will put who HE WANTS on the council and that would be Baby Jane Hunt in Leather with her sharp pointed index finger. She also knows the Master Developement Plan with more knowledge than the writers. I'm truely impressed....
I'd like to see the position given to Karen. At least it would follow the same philosopy as how Dan was appointed.
