What Happened to Old Fashioned Debate?

How many thought about Ruston when we read the news of the shooting at a council meeting near St. Louis last week? Sumner is now worried about someone shooting at them and has taken Councilman Stebner's lead in requiring armed guards at council meetings.

Whatever happened to the notion that you debated the issue, made a decision and moved on? Oh, for the good old days. The New Tribune has more...

There's an awful lot of righteous anger flowing in this town and it's directed straight at the council for their arrogant, socialist and/or communistic approach to government.

Wayne Stebner, Dan Albertson, and Bradley Huson are the mothers of all fools and they deserve to be run out of town.

But nothing they've done would justify the kind of incident that occurred in Kirkwood, MO.

Although morons are currently running the town into the ground, they are not the typical Ruston resident and I believe it's highly unlikely that anyone in Ruston would stoop to any level of violence to make a political statement. That would be the ultimate display of stupidity.

Now, let us not be distracted by senseless considerations and move on toward the goal of defeating the goofs before it's too late!

Killing is a momentary pleasure at best. I much prefer to watch these council members continue to hang themselves with every delay. It will be sweet when they get their subpeonas.

On the bright side of this..... I am getting to know a few more Ruston people and getting to know some others better. There is certainly a lot more dialogue taking place on the street now where it should be.

You don't get to say you don't have anything to do with politics because all human interaction is politics.
