This is an interesting article about the city of Half Moon Bay, California that has been hit with $36.8 million judgment related to a development project that may force the city to dissolve. There are some important principles here that Ruston's elected leaders would be wise to heed about regulations and city actions equating to seizure of private property.
Here is one of the anologies from the article: "A slow-growth bloc had won a majority on the City Council in 1996 and was already clashing with Keenan (the developer) over his plans to build a 54-room hotel nearby."
Pretty scary...

Uhoh, just watch out for the RC's ninja assault corps to begin flooding down on the site. Although they leave a trail of slime whereve they go, leaving the land wet......
This will be their new solution for no problem.
It is interesting that I spoke with a lady from this city about a month ago. She was visiting her Sister on North 51st Street and had been reading about Ruston actions against the developments. She, as I recall, was against developing her area but also realized their city was at risk of losing it all with their actions. She found the similarities profound. Maybe there is a parallel universe!
