Hello World

I want to say hello to our many blog readers from outside Ruston. We get visits from different parts of the US daily. I'm glad to see that our stories resonate with other people, no matter where we live. Like Janet Darling of California who sent in some wonderful pictures of her childhood in Ruston.

I'd like to invite you "out-of-towners" to share some of your story with us (that includes all you folks in the rest of the south sound). What do you find interesting here? What would you like to see more of? Is there anything that should change? Do you have a connection to Ruston in some way or are you just intrigued with small towns?

I won't post your response unless you'd like, but I'd love some feedback. Let us know who you are. You can comment here or email me at kpickett22@yahoo.com.

And thanks for checking in!
Karen

We miss you, Pork Chop! Was this you checking in from Tennessee? Are politics as bad in the south land as up here in Ruston?

Hi YA'LL !!!

Thanks for the invite. Vickie just asked me this morning if I had checked in on "tranquility bay" lately.

We have been very busy and still with a little unpackn' to do. It is quite a shock to be taking care of 2+ acres compared to postage stamp lawns, but the sit-backs are a welcome contrast. (I won't go into too much detail for fear of feeding-anonymous,3rd post-with to much information/or to little and have it turned into MIS-information per that example)

I am following the blog reports on the current CANCEL actions and lack there of. Thanks for the updates. Clarksville and State politics are tracking well with the focus on progress and revenue care with the Govenor providing leadership this last week.

Got to go for now...keep in touch and have confidence that 'this too shall pass' and RUSTON is still one of the gr8 places on God's blue & green earth.

Luv n best wishes, Porkchop
