Ruston Police, Donuts and Special Olympics

The News Tribune is reporting Ruston Police are helping with a fundraiser for Special Olympics by camping on the roof of Krispy Creme Donuts at the Tacoma Mall. Our officers have helped in the past, and Ruston's new chief will be on roof duty Sunday at 10 am. Stop by for some fun and sweets, leave some cash for a good cause.

Great cause but have to ask, how come it wasn't newsworthy when the old chief was up there?

Well, this blog has only been around since December of last year, so it wouldn't have been noted here. I only happened to see the Tribune story today, but I would have been happy to post anything like this no matter who was in charge of the department.

The other local news source could have posted the story for the chief.
Whats it called again? The Ruston corruption.
At least now we have news thats fair and balanced.

10,000+ viewers and counting.
