Council Meeting: August 18, 2008

Here is the information for the council meeting Monday night (7 pm at the school). The rest of the material is available on Ruston Reports (including the final staff report and planning commission finding for Point Ruston's Master Development Plan). It is unclear what will be discussed at the meeting. Business items state "The business agenda will be set by the council at the start of the meeting."

Based on the information packet, it appears there is something related to hiring a town engineer and most importantly a proposed ordinance adopting the planning commission's recommendation to approve the Point Ruston Master Development Plan (with some conditions). This may be the final showdown on Monday night. It should be interesting, please attend if you can.

Popsicles and moonbeams. Wish hard enough, close your eyes, twitch your nose. Ahh....It's magic and finally there's heaven on earth in Ruston.

I think we should be a lot nicer to Mr. Cohen and give him a big thank you for what he is doing for our town.
Why shouldn't Jane Hunt, Bradley Huson or Jim Hedrick feel free to meet with him? It's a silly law if Jane Hunt broke it - someone said she did, in another post. How is she supposed to get Mr cohen to make concessions that are good for the town if she doesn't meet with him to figure it all out? Same for Bradley and Jim?
What is wrong with those people who don't want this to happen?
