hey is the council going to have a party afterwards? they accomplished what they wanted by having the casino close.Hope they lose BIG TIME IN COURT.Maybe the city can get a real lawyer not a puppet for the council.

Maybe Scooter Bill can double as the Lawyer? I wonder if the courtroom has scooter access and a big desk for his stapler.

He better not have my stapler.

Just my two cents....

I'm a true "outsider" who frequently visits this site as well as the Ruston Connection. I disagree with the majority of the decisions the new city council has made.

I really appreciate all of the information Karen puts on this blog. I don't know many of the characters discussed in all of these posts, but I've noticed this blog has taken a very childish direction after the original post on Bill Walker.

It's obvious the Ruston Connection has a political agenda, but I don't seem to find the same personal attacks on their site that are constantly posted here.

The overall lack of maturity many contributors exhibit discredits a lot of their real substance.

Karen, this blog is losing credibility with each and every immature post. You should try to get control and turn it back in the right direction.

I think you'd be upset too...if your stapler was stolen. There is nothing childish about that.

Can you post anything on the RC?

Keep up the good work Karen.

When people are oppressed, their Town being ran by a Dictator, you find humor the only answer.

Don't like it?
Bula Bula and have a good time.

Just a word of warning. Even I'm getting tired of the stapler references. I think we are all better served if we speak to the issue, not the personalities involved. Thank you...

Dear outsider:

The Ruston Connection cancelled the memberships of anyone who disagreed with their group think. Said it was some kind of mysterious computer thing. Strangely enough, their core group still logged on as usual.

You have to look for the facts in the RC and then check them against reality.

You won't find anything in the RC that deviates from their narrow focus. It simply isn't allowed, very like the council meetings.

He's just jealous because Bill's got the stapler. Plain and simple.

Go to Kmart and get your own stapler. Then go staple something. Come to a Ruston meeting and staple something.

Hey...

Everyone who goes to Ruston Meetings is now required to bring a stapler and they have to staple their arms and foreheads with these staplers as it will stand to represent the pain we all go through in living with this whole Ruston Menagarie.

That, or we could all light ourselves on fire, but with the cost of gas, the stapler is much more economical.

Ruston should have a baseball team called "The Ruston Staplers".

What is it with this whole stapeler thing. Someone please explain.

Anonymous said...

I'm lost on the stapler comments as well...

Anonymous said...

Who would've thought my stapler would cause such an up raising.

This stapler thing is quite the deturent to Bill's Sexual Assult Restraining Order. It keeps everyone defocused.

Those were the happier days for dirty Bill.

You must be the last person in Ruston to learn that the Ruston Connection website is owned by Sarah Everding. It's on the website's own homepage link to the administration. Secret? I don't think so.

Anonymous said...

Secret? Maybe not.

Communist plot? Let's find out...

Anonymous said...

No, it's probably an NRA plot.

I'm going to say something about the staplers.

First of all, why on G--'s green Earth did the mayor decide to choose someone for public office without checking him out first???

What kind of mayor do we have?

Oh, about the Ruston Connection...you know it's biased, right? There's a reason.

I did a "whois" lookup on their domain name. Here's what I found:

(And don't be afraid to do it yourself, just go to www.whois.sc or www.webhosting.info and input the domain name. The proof is in the pudding)

Admin Name:Sarah Everding
Admin Street1:
Admin Street2:
Admin Street3:
Admin City:Ruston
Admin State/Province:Washington
Admin Postal Code:98407
Admin Country:US
Admin Phone:+1.

So the mayor's wife owns it.

AHA!!!

So what do we do now?

If the claims are true that they magically "delete" people who post what they feel on that site, then that would be misrepresentation and AGAINST the first amendment. So that would automatically violate the U.S. Constitution. How about an impeachment???

Hey Karen Pickett--why don't you copy this article and post it as "Interesting News" that Ruston should know about???

Sorry for sounding a bit antagonistic, however this information should be brought to the floor. I believe a Coup d'Etat is in order. Let's call Germany to arrange it.
