Council Meeting: August 4, 2008

A quick recap of the council meeting tonight. I will have more details when I get back in town and listen to the tape:
  • There appears to have been some action on the Stack Hill amendment request and final plat approval. I'll get more details out once I confirm exactly what happened.
  • The meeting tonight was continued until next Tuesday, August 12th. At that time the interlocal agreement with Tacoma for the LID and the flood insurance will be decided.
  • Council Member Hedrick has researched the engineering bids and recommended Morsett & Associates. The council will now confirm the contract rate before making a final decision.
  • The vendors at the annual music fest this year will have to pay a $15 fee, along with any sales tax due from the event. Formal action will be taken at the next council meeting.

So did you guys have fun at the meeting or what? I especially enjoyed the "saluting of the flag"...you know, the big RED flag on the wall with a white circle and a picture of a black stapler in the middle.

what is the deal with the stapler?

Mmmmmmmm...staplers...

You 'stapler' freaks act just like 8 year olds, except that 8 year olds are not nearly as immature. The message you express (with a total lack of wit, I might add)reflects an inside joke. Boring...

You would be bored because you wouldn't know what a stapler was if it jumped on top of your head and started stapling away to hold down your toupee!!!
