Ruston School Reunion

The Ruston School reunion starts at 5 pm today. Carol Gore (formerly Perkins for those who went to school with her) reports the event has grown into a huge celebration. They are expecting over 200 people to join the festivities. The oldest person planning on attending as of yesterday is 80 years young and attended Ruston school in 1930. Mr. Larson, who was principal from 1946 until 1973, will be attending as well.
I hope the memories shared tonight will be passed along to us in Ruston. We need to capture these stories now before they are forever lost. We in Ruston value the history you carry in your heart and mind. Anyone with a story to tell, please email your memories of Ruston to kpickett22@yahoo.com. And enjoy the party tonight! ~ Karen

It was a huge success. Overflowing crowd some had to be seated outside.
One rememberance waitress from Stone's Cafe reminiscing about the pinball machines (used nickels)and the five cent coffee.
Imagine what the price will be fifty years from now?

My apologies to those who attended. I was at my son's place for a plumbing emergency and later helping a sick friend.
