More Information

A bit more has emerged on Bill Walker, Ruston's newest civil service member. It's not directly related to the current investigation of sexual assault, but I felt it was something folks would want to know. I have confirmed with former Mayor Wheeler that this letter was sent to Mr. Walker. ~ Karen

How did you come across that letter?

Interesting...

I think you should worry about the contents of the letter, not where it came from.

Falsifying documents is a pretty serious offense. This thing isn't even signed! Doubt if Mr. Walker has ever seen it.

Ask him.

So, who is the first one who wants to do a public records request to see if the document is really there? Put up or shut up.

i dont beleive this came from a public records request because its not signed. nothing would come from town I imagined unsigned. if you go look at ordinances and resolutions they are all signed. Anyone could have gotten their hands on letterhead for the town and printed this on it. FYI

If this is not an "official" public record, it could be construed as slander (even if it was sent to Mr. Walker).

I don't understand why something like this has any reason being posted.

Karen, I'm disappointed you took the low-road on this one.

Hey, something is fishy. No signature, some post-its covering notes or words at the bottom right hand side of the page. It looks altered.
Posting this so called 'bit of information about Bill Walker' just means you, Karen, can post any smear piece about anyone. Looks like a bit of slander more than a bit of information.

Well, we've heard from the Ruston Connection crowd, now how about the rest of us say thanks to Karen for posting the letter. It takes guts to stick your neck out and then to take the crap that that angry crowd of people dish out.

Unfortunately, the council doesn't follow her example, they have themselves shielded so they don't have to hear from us.

I will be watching the development of Mr. Walker's case and will wait for our police to do their lawful duty. If this makes it to court I will watch that too. Yes, even the allegedly repulsive Mr Walker deserves his day in court.

You mean the kangaroo court. It's the only one I've seen on this blog site.

Thanks to everyone for the comments. I knew this was stretching things, but I felt it was information that deserved to be shared. As I said, I have confirmed with the author (fomer Mayor Wheeler) that he did author, sign and send this letter even though I don't have a signed copy.

It's one piece of the puzzel - something I think people deserve to know now that Mr. Walker is serving as a public official.

As for the "unsigned" copy I have no idea where it came from. I can say however that I did in fact provide Mr Walker with a "signed" copy of a letter with this exact same content.

I attempted to include my name in the previous comment and ended up with it as "anonymous"

Well, someone says he's Kim Wheeler and says he confirms that he provided a signed copy, etc. Even if the writer really is Kim Wheeler, Big deal.
What is on this blog site is still an unsigned letter with something on the bottom that is blocked by some stickies. I suppose now we'll get a signed copy with the ink still fresh.
This whole thing is so weird and trashy. You went too far to be credible now.

Come on, guys. Speak to the issue, not the person. Please....

The issue, not the person?? The letter names the person and alludes to the issue. Seems to me that they are one and the same. I suppose the letter will have to be vetted to verify the allegation. Although KW already says he did author it and it was delivered to WW. Someone should act fast and assure that it doesn't disappear like the white house emails.
