Police Chief

The Tribune was able to get more details about Ruston's missing police chief. Click here to read the full story. Reinhold, via his attorney, says he was unjustly fired. Mayor Transue assures us we have someone internal who is serving as chief. Several people have heard that Ruston's police sergeant is now acting chief.

There is much more to this story. Stay tuned!

Another fine public servant in Ruston lost to rhe shenanigans going on. We will miss Jim Reinhold, a very effective, no nonsense Police Chief. But the CABAL rules. Jim joins Dan Wombacher, Phil Parker, Bob Pudlo, Kim Wheeler, and Mary Joyce who also didn't survive the CABAL hit list.

As a source close to the chief, he has turned in his equipment and his pager and will now be sleeping through the night. Seriously though, he will miss being a part of the town and has always been there to help us. He’s given a lot in time and resources to a town he doesn’t live in. He’s always enjoyed the people in town and will miss you all, even though he had to make decisions that weren’t always what some wanted. That’s part of being the chief.

Chief, in our hearts, you will always be our chief. I’m sure he’d appreciate hearing from you, and now he’s able to talk without violating any policy.

Since the mayor is afraid to talk, won’t talk, can’t talk, I’ll tell you. Sgt. Kunkel is running the department, for at least now.

Hi Hip Hoooray, Bronto! You are correct jim Reinhold does Phil parker being a former public servant who was belittled by a certain Ruston resident. By the way - why are the trees not planed as of yet - which Phil left money for before he died?
